My name is Jay and I, like most people on this site, love art!

I'm a hobbyist traditional artist and student digital artist. I'm constantly doodling at school and I draw when I feel like it. I want to improve faster, so that's why I joined deviantART. I'd appreciate feedback.

Personally I'm one who's reluctant to go to school... but it's not like I hate school. It has guided me to become an amateur writer. With the freetime I rarely get from it, I get to draw every now and then during class, which is also fuel to every step of my drawing hobby.

Someday I want to be an animator, both with Flash and 3D rendering programs like Maya. I currently can't afford these as well as Photoshop, but with a little time, I think I will eventually.

Making Page Dolls

As a warmup for summer's montage of STUFF, I will be making little journal/devPAGE dolls for the next few weeks. They're really fun to make and I think I could actually make some point cash off of them

And these aren't pixel art dolls.... just.... cute, sleek, simplistic ones.

Flat Sketch of a Character - 5 Any personalized character of your choice, neatly sketched and scanned to my style but not shaded.

Shaded Sketch of Character - 8 Any personalized character of your choice, neatly sketched and shaded; scanned to my style.
***Extra 5 points for every additional character added to the drawing

_{I do not do rough sketches as I honestly think it's a waste of my time and your points for me to spend 5 minutes on a crappy piece of work.}

DIGITAL MEDIA - LINEART

Lineart of a Character - 8 Digital lineart of any personalized character of your choice; you may choose between a transparent background and a white/solid color background. You may also choose between pixel lineart (bucket fill compatible) and paint lineart (non-bucket fill compatible). After the lineart is finished you are free to download it, decorate it, color it, and pretty much do whatever you want with it.
***Extra 5 points for every additional character added to the drawing

Flat Chibi Character - 12 Personalized chibi (digital) with bold lineart and color but no shading.
***Extra 8 points for every additional character added to the drawing.

Chibi Character - 15 Personalized chibi (digital) with bold lineart, color, and sleek shading.
***Extra 10 points for every additional character added to the drawing.

Flat Character - 20 Any personalized character of your choice, with thin lineart, colored but not shaded.
***Extra 15 points for every additional character added to the drawing.

Character - 25 Any personalized character of your choice, with thin lineart, colored, and soft shaded.
***Extra 18 points for every additional character added to the drawing.

Character with Background - 40 Any personalized character of your choice, with thin lineart, colored, soft shaded, and with any background you want. This is only accepted with shaded character commissions, not flat character commissions.

DIGITAL MEDIA - PAINT STYLE

Character - 50 Any personalized character of your choice, with no lineart and a sleek digital paint look.
***Extra 40 points for every additional character added to the drawing.
***This is a newer type of digital art that I'm slowly getting into, and considering that I don't yet have any examples for it in my gallery, it will remain on hold until further notice.

Character with Background - 70 Any personalized character of your choice, with no lineart, a sleek digital paint look, and any background you want.
***Extra 40 points for every additional character added to the drawing.

DIGITAL MEDIA - ICONS

deviantART Icon - 15 Any personalized icon of pretty much anything you want-- a character, object, multiple characters, etc. You may also have a transparent background or a colored background.
